Keroberos (Cerberus) Crochet Pattern With Video Tutorial

IMG_1629

As some of you may know, I am pregnant at the moment.  We just found out we’re having a girl!  Since my husband is from Japan we decided to give her a Japanese middle name and we chose Sakura (my husband is a big fan of Cardcaptor Sakura!).  So in honor of our precious baby Sakura I decided to make something from her namesake, Keroberos!  I’ll put it on a shelf in Sakura’s room and he can watch over her.

MATERIALS:

  • Medium – 4 worsted weight yarn in yellow for the body, yarn for the ears, white for the wings, and a little bit of black for the mouth.  I used the brand Caron Simply Soft which is a 170 g / 288 meter skein of yarn.
  • 4.00 mm crochet hook (Size G)
  • 1 pair of 18 mm safety eyes
  • Sewing needle large enough to fit your yarn
  • Toy stuffing

Check out the Materials page to see the exact materials I use in my patterns/tutorials

  • CH: Chain
  • FL INC: Front Loop Increase
  • FO: Finish off
  • INC: Increase (Single Crochet 2 in 1 stitch)
  • INV DEC: Invisible decrease
  • MR: Magic Ring
  • RNDS: Rounds
