Squirtle Crochet Pattern with Video Tutorial

This was my first ever tutorial on YouTube. I was working with a really bad camera at the time so I had to kind of yell to make my voice heard and the video quality was terrible! I also wasn’t very experienced at explaining crochet, so I probably explained it more than was necessary. I think some day I’ll redesign the pattern to make it closer to how squirtle should actually look and a little less stylized.

If you like this pattern, make sure you check out my needle felting tutorial to learn how to make squirtle’s eyes more like the anime! About a year into my time on YouTube, I was introduced to needle felting and it completely changed how I approach amigurumi. If you haven’t already, give needle felting a try, you will never be the same!

Also, check out the chubby version pattern! I’m planning on making an entire pattern book someday for my chubby amigurumi. They so cute and simple, I love them so much! Take a look at chubby squirtle, everything is cuter when it’s round!

Now that the various plugs are done, let’s get to the pattern!
